PURPOSE:To ensure a high-speed input operation for a skilled operator and to ensure an input operation with satisfactory operability even for an unskilled operator, by selecting a display selection system or a storage code system and displaying candidate KANJI (Chinese character) within a frame of an m-row/n-column input selection key. CONSTITUTION:A Japanese sentence is fed in 4 types of modes L1-L4 in response to the ability or skill of an operator. When a KANA (Japanese syllabary) character is fed in a mode L1, Roman characters are fed from a keyboard KB10 by an alphameric key after closing switches SWl11 and SWl12. Then the Roman characters are converted into KANA characters, and these KANA characters are delivered through a terminal 15. When KANJI is fed, the SWl12 and SWl13 are opened and closed, respectively. Then the KANJI is selected by a display selection system and deliveed through a terminal 14. In this case, the candidate KANJI is displayed in the frame of ten keys and then selected by the ten keys. When KANJI is fed in a mode L2, the SWl21 and SWl23 are closed to deliver the KANJI by a display selection system. The SWl41 and SWl42 or SWl21 and SWl23 are closed in a mode L3, and both storage code system and the display selection system are used simultaneously to deliver KANJI. The SWl41 and SWl42 are closed in a mode L4, and KANJI is delivered by the storage code system. |
