PURPOSE:To keep not only weight but also volume within a permissible range by increasing a target weight value to increase the volume when the volume is undersized and by decreasing the target value to decrease the volume when the volume is oversized. CONSTITUTION:The volume of a material 301 to be weighed which is discharged into a cylindrical part 21b is detected with a level detector 401 constituted of light emitting elements 401a,... and photodetectors 401a',.... Detection signals DSa... are inputted to a reader 701a, and an arithmetic processing section 701b examines the logical 1 or 0 of the signals DSa..., discriminates in which volume range of predetermined n-stages the signals are to be put, and reads the correction value Cn corresponding to the volume out from a corresponding chart storage section 701c. The section 701b calculates Wa+Cn Wa' by using the target value Wa set and stored in a register 701d and the value Cn. A combination calculation section 701e determines and outputs the combination by which the value is equal to the updated target value Wa' or the value is nearest the target value Wa' within the set permissible range.
