The CPU generates control signals to the motor driving circuit (41) according to the on-signal of the start-stop switch (16) and speed signals of the speed-setting switchs (9) (10) (111). The sewing machine motor (M) is started and stopped by the computer at the selected speed, and the ascent and descent of the pulse signal (SG4) is caught by the computer.
