The drainage device is fitted in floor-ceiling units, esp. in balconies or terraces. It has a tubular water inflow unit, leading down into a downpipe underneath. This unit has intake holes in the part above the floor, and a flange, below these, resting on the floor. On its lower section (4,12), protruding from the floor-ceiling, the inflow unit (1) has an external thread (13). A nut component (14) is screwed onto this, with its fitting face (15) drawn tight against the bottom of the floor and ceiling unit (3). The flange mounting face and nut fitting face may each have a peripheral recess (7,16) for a sealing ring (8,17). There is no need for elaborate fasteners, or work on the floor-ceiling which can be of any thickness.
