The invention relates to a stand-alone supply for a television infrared remote control box. This supply comprises a closed box 2 fixed to the wall which houses a printed circuit board carrying the components of the circuit for converting the mains voltage into a suitable DC voltage. The mains voltage is brought through a lead 3 and a socket 4. The DC voltage is available on a female connection socket 5 fixed to the box. The infrared remote control box 1 is linked to the supply by a lead 6 and a male connection plug 7. The invention applies to infrared remote controls for televisions rented to organisations. <IMAGE>
