The object of the invention relates to cycle accessories and most particularly to brake control devices. The hand lever is noteworthy in that it is organised internally in order to constitute a chamber with at least two different positions 8, 9 arranged on the lever 5, allowing the variable positioning of a journal 10 mounted on the end of the transmission wire 11 and at least two openings 21, 22 made on the hood constituting the seats for the stop of the outer, the aforementioned positions and openings being arranged in such a manner that the transmission means (wire, outer) of the hand lever are either visible, or hidden by being inserted between the handlebar tape and the handlebars, or engaged within the said bars.
