An apparatus to make the securing and letting go of boats easier, especially at buoys, consists of a relatively long, tubular pole (12), whose one end is fitted with a hook (11) and with a catch (20), which is manually operable from the pole's other end by a control lever (19) which runs through the pole. The catch and the control are fitted in one piece in the form of a springy rod, which is movable between two separate positions, an initial one, where the catch is in place but can open against the spring of the rod, and a second, in which the mouth (21) of the hook is completely open. At the opposite end of the tubular pole to the hook, there is a fastening ring (13) for a securing rope (14).<IMAGE> |
