PURPOSE:To facilitate extremely an exchanging operation of a chuck of a heavy material, by omitting operations of taking up and down the chuck by operators in the exchanging operation of the chuck. CONSTITUTION:A holding stand 17 is provided with a holding face H holding a chuck 10 and a moving stand 12 of the chuck is set in a state capable of reciprocation. A crosshead 6 is lowered and the stand 12 is advanced to the left via a screw sending mechanism by the rotation of a motor 15. A screw part 9' is inserted into an engaging part 11' of a chuck 11 by lifting slightly the crosshead 6 and the stand 12 is retreated backward. The engaging part 11' is engaged threadably with the screw part 9' by manual rotation and a lower chuck 11 is attached to the crosshead 6. The upper chuck 10 is placed on the upper face of the lower chuck 11 and the crosshead 6 is lifted to attach a screw part 8' to an engaging part 10' of the chuck 10. |
