VIDEO SIGNAL RECORDING METHOD

PURPOSE:To use a means except for a high speed digital signal processing for a blanking processing by stopping the vertical scanning of an image pickup means for a television camera or the like in the timing corresponding to a head changeover position. CONSTITUTION:In recording a broad band video signal while a rotary drum of a VTR is driven in a number of revolutions twice the standard revolutions, a head changeover position appears in the vicinity of the center of a pattern of one field. Figure (a) shows a timing of head changeover and figure (b) indicates a vertical deflection voltage of a field deflection type image pickup tube of a video camera used in incorporation with a VTR or connected thereto. A part BL is a period where the vertical deflection is stopped substantially. Figure (c) a horizontal deflection voltage similarly. Figure (d) depicts a video signal obtained from the image pickup tube. The hatched parts are blanking periods. T1, T2 in the figure (b) are time for pausing the vertical scanning before and after the head changeover timing. Wherever the BL part of the vertical deflection voltage is scanned, it is equivalent to stop the vertical deflection when blanking is applied to the electronic beam.
