PURPOSE:To form easily a joint part having high joining strength and a good appearance, by joining a pipe and a welding object part through a cup-shaped metallic cap whose diameter becomes gradually small toward the tip. CONSTITUTION:First of all, a base end face 2 of a hollow semispherical metallic cap 1 and a pipe end face 5a are brought into press contact and are joined by automatic resistance welding, by which the cap 1 is welded to a pipe 4. Subsequently, this pipe 4 is brought into press contact through the cap 1 to a part to be welded 7 of a leg part pipe 6 being a welding object, and subsequently, both of them 1, 7 are melted by electric conduction. Subsequently, the pipe 4 is pressed against the pipe 6, melting them, the part to be welded 7 is dented by this pressure, a contact area of the cap 1 and the weld zone 7 is expanded, and a stable joint part is formed. |
