The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing articles made from plastic having developable surfaces and skew surfaces. According to the invention, the surface layer of the developable surfaces or of at least a portion of the developable surfaces is produced with a laminated article or high-pressure laminate, at least the skew surfaces and the backing (support) of the laminated article being produced by a moulding made from polyester or low-pressure laminate. The invention is particularly applicable to the manufacture of furniture for public places exposed to cigarette burns.
