The invention relates to an instrument of the crusher type, characterised essentially in that it is specific to the conversion of green coconut into a compost formed exclusively of the constituent parts of the latter. The appended drawing shows an embodiment which is given by way of example. In the container 8, a grinding or cutting device, formed from cylindrical tools 1 and 2, is actuated by rotation with the aid of the crank 10. After insertion, the nut 12 emerges as a very advantageous compost via the orifice 13, the movements of the two cylinders being convergent. The flap 11 ensures operational safety. The instrument according to the invention may be designed for simultaneously crushing several nuts. It may be produced in any material with sufficient mechanical strength. It may be actuated manually or by the addition of a suitable motor. It may be stationary or portable. It is simple and rapid to use. It reduces the space taken up by rubbish bins and public rubbish tips. <IMAGE>
