<p>The circuit is suitable for connection to a series of contacts operated by conventional intruder detectors, such as microswitches, seismic detectors, microphones, infra-red detectors etc. The control unit operates the alarm-giving element, e.g. a klaxon (RTM), and lights a signal lamp if the series circuit is broken. If the mains supply to the unit is interfered with, a detector circuit sets off the alarm and lights another indicator lamp. In addition to the automatic triggers for the alarm, a switch is operated if the user presses a 'panic button'; in which case, another indicator lamp is lit. It is also suitable for connection to modified 'night locks', in which the use of force triggers an alarm, but the use of an authorised key does not.</p> |
