Antispasmodic preparations which can be secured to the skin are produced by applying one or more types of metals or metallic substances and/or deficient/trace substances and, where appropriate, a known medicament or an active constituent thereof, to any arbitrary support surface, or mixing these substances with slurry, with, where appropriate, the known medicinal active compound which is present being used in the form of a liquid, a solid or a gas and with the liquid or gaseous substance being secured to the support in a permeable container, for example in a bag, with, however, one or more adhesive strips expediently being shaped at the edge of the support, after which the substances on the support are covered with a protective layer which can be removed, with it being possible, if desired, for the support to be pretreated with a weak base or acid before the substance is applied.
