PURPOSE:To disperse heat generation of a discharge machining electrode and generation of electric discharge by furnishing a plurality of terminals for feeding the current to the electrode and by impressing a pulsed voltage on the terminals alternately. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of terminals 8, 9 are provided for feeding current to an electrode 1 for wire-cut discharge machining. The pulsed voltage for machining is given by a power source 7, being changed over from the terminal 8 to 9 and vice versa alternately through switches 10, 11. The period for changing- over corresponds to the period of output from a pulse generator 13, and it is set longer than the period of machining pulsation. Heat generation of the electrode is dispersed by changing over the terminal in service by every several pulses to ensure that discontinuity of leads is minimized and a stable discharge machining can be performed with discharge generating points dispersed. |
