PURPOSE:To improve the cutting quality and working accuracy of a correcting grinder and improve the operational efficiency by forming a plurality of projecting stripes on the whole outer periphery and planting in a line diamond particles or compacts onto each projecting stripe, and increasing the amount of corrected works. CONSTITUTION:Grooves are formed on a grinder surface, corresponding to the projecting stripe 4b on a dresser having each diamond 6 as apex, by revolving the dresser and pressing said dresser onto a revolving grinder. That is, the sectional shape having wave form on the rotary dresser is transferred onto the grinder surface, and when a traverse system is applied, said groove is formed in titled spiral form. Therefore, the grinder is brought into contact uniformly onto the whole surface of an article to be worked, and wave-shaped unevenness is not formed on the article to be worked. Since the wave-shaped unevenness is formed in repetition on the grinder surface, the grinding resistance is low, and the cutting quality is superior, and the grinding accuracy and the working efficiency are improved. |
