PURPOSE:To permit candles to perfectly display their ornamental effect as a grouped light source, by utilizing a thread-like material adapted to fuse with a flame in successively igniting respective ornamental candles for displaying a letter or a shape with a plenty of flames. CONSTITUTION:A fusing thread-like material 5 is manufactured in such a manner wherein a thread-like material is dipped in and deposited with a paraffin, then further dipped in and deposited with the mixed solution of nitro-cellulose, a microcrystalline cellulose, lithium chloride and acetone, and finally dried. The thread-like material 5 is arranged on the top ends of combustion wicks of birthday candles 4 each erected on a candle holder which is mounted on the heart-shaped support 3 of memorial candles with the span of 10cm. A cellulosic adhesive is used to bond the thread-like material 5 with the candle wick and also the opposite ends of thread-like material 5 with the combustion wick 2 of memorial candle. Upon the ignition of combustion wick located in the recess of heart-shaped support 3, the thread-like material is progressively fused at an approximate combustion speed of two minutes/m with a flame, successively igniting adjacent birthday candles 4 from the opposite sides of heart-shaped support 3. All candles 1, 4 are ignited in about 2.5min.
