PURPOSE:To eliminate erroneous judgement by calculating absorbances of light individually with two different wavelengths in a serum specimen itself to be analyzed employing first and second reagents to determine whether the specimen is normal or abnormal based on the two absorbances. CONSTITUTION:A filter for 340nm is set between a transparent reaction tube and a light source. A first reagent alone is placed into the reaction tube and at the subsequent set time, while a second reagent is placed to detect absorbance A1 after (t)min. Variation amount DELTAA1 in the absorbance for (t)min. is determined and subtracted therefrom and the absorbance Af of the first reagent only is determined. Then, a specimen and the first reagent are placed into the reaction tube, while the second reagent is placed at the subsequent set time to obtain the absorbance and the variation in the absorbance after (t)min. This gives the sum As of the absorbance of the specimen itself and the absorbance of the first reagent. The value Af is subtracted from the absorbance As to determine the absorbance of the speciment itself. Likewise, a filter for 410nm is set to find the absorbance of the same specimen itself. The two kinds of absorbances thus obtained enables discrimination between normal and abnormal natures of the specimen thereby eliminating erroneous judgement. |
