The invention relates to an apparatus for the storage and retrieval of information, telephone numbers, subscriber addresses, etc., which has, in a housing (2), an index card selector and release apparatus (20), a device (30) for automatically dialling stored telephone numbers with a telephone number memory (31), a time display device (50) with or without a device for stopping the displayed time, and a power source (60) designed as a battery for the automatic dialling device (30), whereby the intention is to create an apparatus which permits storage of the names of telephone subscribers, their telephone numbers and/or addresses and short numbers, and automatic dialling of stored telephone numbers after inputting a short number, and which moreover is also provided with further devices which permit universal use of the apparatus. <IMAGE>
