Coating composition and sealing of flat roofs covered with bituminous roofing felt

A moisture-curing coating composition for sealing flat roofs covered with bituminous roofing felt contains from 40 to 70 % by weight of polyurethane-forming isocyanate, from 5 to 25 % by weight of light-resistant, OH-containing tar, from 0.2 to 1 % by weight of antisettling agent, from 10 to 20 % by weight of flaky extender, from 2 to 15 % by weight of colour pigment, from 1 to 4 % by weight of moisture-binding agent, but as the remainder at least 5 % by weight of paint solvent. This coating composition can be applied in a conventional manner to a clean roofing felt surface and it is cured solely through the ingress of moisture from the surrounding atmosphere.
