PURPOSE:To obtain an Al alloy for electrophotographic sensitive drums excellent in property of vapor-depositing amorphous silicon as well as in surface finish characteristics, by providing a composition in which each content of elements mentioned below is specified when independently incorporated and, when incorporated in combination, the total content is specified in incorporating Ti, Zr, Mo, and Cr which peritectically react with Al. CONSTITUTION:The titled Al alloy has a composition containing Ti, Zr, Mo, and Cr which peritectically react with Al by 0.01-0.4%, 0.01-0.4%, 0.03-0.4%, and 0.03-0.4%, by weight, respectively, when they are incorporated independently and, when incorporated in combination, by 0.035-0.55% in total and further containing 0.05-1.5% Zn. Said Al alloy has improved heat resistance and strength in vapor deposition of amorphous silicon and also has prolonged tool life and, moreover, it is excellent in property of vapor-depositing amorphous silicon as well as in surface finish characteristics. |
