Device for heating oil, in particular fuel oil which is supplied from an oil tank, passes through the device through a through-pipe, is at the same time heated by a heating device and is then supplied to a burner, with a nozzle, which is connected to a heating boiler, there being provided in the device a return channel which is connected via a connection piece to the outlet side of the through-pipe, and the through-pipe having an injector device which is connected to the return channel. The method for heating the oil is implemented in such a manner that the oil, which is preheated after passing through the through-pipe, is conducted back into the preheating device, supplied under suction effect to the oil passing through the through-pipe and supplied to the burner only after reaching a predetermined temperature.
