In a rolling-bearing spring housing for roller shutters, roll-type grilles or the like, it is intended for the mounting and replaceability of the flat spiral spring (20) to be made more simple and, in particular, less dangerous. For this purpose, the outer end of the flat spiral spring (20) is in the form of an eye (23) which is traversed by a holding pin (24) fitted loosely in holes made in the floor (14) and cover (2) of the rolling-bearing spring housing. The flat spiral spring (20) is kept permanently enclosed within a binding ring (31) which is not connected to the housing. <IMAGE>
