PURPOSE:To prevent a reduction in a secondary voltage even if a power supply voltage is decreased when the starter is started by a method wherein a capacitor is charged just before a starter motor is operated and the capacitor is discharged when the starter motor is turned ON. CONSTITUTION:A collector of N-P-N transistor is connected to an ignition terminal IG of a key switch 2 through a diode 15 and a resistor 14. A junction between the diode 15 and the resistor 14 is connected to a ground through a capacitor 16. Since the key switch 2 is set at first to the ignition terminal IG without fail when started, a capacitor 16 is charged with a voltage which corresponds to a difference between the power supply voltage and the forward voltage drop of the diode 15, resulting in that a charging voltage for the capacitor 16 is applied to the gate of the power MOSFET8 even if the power supply voltage is decreased to 6V when started and then a starting characteristic is substantially improved. |
