In this method, a punched-out area, which represents the development of a top surface and of lateral surfaces (20, 22 and 24), has applied to it a tear-open strip (26) which has the shape of an angle and is sealed by its legs to one lateral surface and by its leg ends in the edge region of the top surface (16). The tip of the tear-open angle protrudes freely from the lateral surface. After the lateral surfaces have been bent upwards, the filler material introduced and the package closed by a bottom surface (44), the package can be opened by pulling on the tear-open strip (26) to tear open the lateral surface (24), producing a wedge shape, and the top surface (16) tears open along the edge of an adhesively applied label (52). <IMAGE>
