PURPOSE:To mount a fan motor reliably and easily, by employing a fan motor securing box plate which is inserted into an air conditioner through a through opening and then secured in place. CONSTITUTION:A fan motor securing box plate 15 is inserted into a through opening 28 and rotated in the direction shown by an arrow mark for overlapping a fixed flange portion 15a with a flange portion 27a. Then, these flange portions 15a and 27a are secured in place by means of a screw. The longitudinal dimension of fan motor securing box 15 is of the size slightly larger than the diameter of flange portion 27a to prevent a noise or an abnormal vibration which might be generated due to the vibratory movement of fan motor 8 installed in an air conditioner during its operation. Moreover, the height of fan motor securing box 15 from the bottom surface thereof to the upper surface of fan motor supporting hardware 17 is of the size slightly lower than the height of electric components accomodation chamber 19 of air conditioner, when a fan motor 8, a vibration- proof rubber 16 and the fan motor supporting hardware 17 are attached to the fan motor securing box plate 15, in order to restrict the up-and-down and the lateral movements of fan motor on a base plate 13. |
