A spraying booth which is sealed in an airtight manner except for an extraction pipe (1) and is equipped with a spray gun (7) operable from the outside and to which an impeller-fed gas burner (9) is attached whose extraction pipe (20) opens into the interior of the spraying booth at two points spaced apart in the upper section of the booth via one closable connecting piece (16, 17) in each case and also via a pipe piece (23) which is introduced laterally just below the spraying level of the spray gun (T7), the exhaust gas injected into the spraying booth being extracted from that point by means of a suction compressor (26, 27), compressed and fed to the spray gun (7) as compressed spraying gas via a pressure line (29). <IMAGE>
