<p>Steerable toboggan for snow or water sports has 2 sledge runners and at least one sectionally curved steering runner outboard of each runner such that its tangent plane to the horizontal plane through the straight runner is skewed upwards and sideways, and only in the rear part near the centre of gravity of the loaded toboggan. The tangent planes also have a small inclination around a cross axis, relative to which they are skewed outward and backward. Pref. the hull housing is vacuum formed or injection moulded of hard polyethylene, or is of glass-fibre reinforced polyester, or of light metal. The seat is of foam plastics or a hard polyethylene shell.</p> |
