The method for manufacturing a car wheel of a specific type in accordance with the German Patent Application P 3216566.8 is simplified in that, in order to adapt the central bore (9) of the wheel body, an inset ring (11) is clipped into precisely this central bore (9); therefore the drilling of the central bore (9) can be dispensed with. For this purpose, the inset ring (11) has in particular a dividing gap (16), by means of which it is given a specific resilient effect. Since the central bore no longer has to be drilled, the wheel body can be clamped into the central bore (9) by means of an expanding mandrel for the purpose of finishing. Only the hole circle for the wheel bolts has to be produced then during finishing. <IMAGE>
