PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure the dyeing color difference accurately, by obtaining the relationship between the solution color difference, which is introduced by the absorbances of respective solutions of a standard dye and a representative sample of dyes which are the same item as the standard dye, and measuring the solution color difference between the other dye of the same item and the standard dye. CONSTITUTION:At first, the absorbance curves of the respective solutions of a standard dye and the representative sample of the same dyes as the standard dye are measured. Conversion is performed so that the optical density of the representative sample agrees with the optical density of the standard solution. The absorbance curve, from which the color difference component based on the color density is removed, is obtained by computation. Then the conversion curveis converted into transmittance, and the tristimulus values of the standard solution and the sample solution are obtained. From these value, the hue difference and the visibility difference between two solutions are computed and the color difference between two solutions is computed. Meanwhile, the dyeing color difference between both dyes is obtained by the same way for obtaining the solution color difference. A graph showing the relationship between the dyeing color difference and the color difference of the dye liquid is obtained. By using said graph of relationship, the dyeing color difference of the other dye sample can be accurately predicted by measuring the solution color difference between the sample of the same dyes and the standard dye, without pefroming actual dyeing. |
