PURPOSE:To ensure the stop of a pointer at a zero scale position, by changing the characteristics of a meter and addition of a compensating circuit, thereby equalizing the distances of the scales from the zero scale position, and stopping the operation of the compensating circuit when the stopping state of the item to be displayed is judged. CONSTITUTION:A key switch 2, which is connected to a battery 1, is turned ON. When a vehicle is not moved, vehicle speed pulses are not generated from a vehicle speed sensor 3, a monostable multivibrator 8 is not operated, a constant current circuit 10 is not operated, and the operation of a constant current circuit 11 in a judging circuit 12 is stopped. Therefore an ammeter 4 tends to move a preset angle -theta0 but it is stopped at a zero scale position by a stopper. When the vehicle runs, the circuit 11 is operated by the circuit 12 based on the output of the sensor 3. The pointer of the ammeter swings by theta1 based on the supplied constant current 10. A vibrator trigger 8 is triggered through a waveform shaping circuit 5, a capacitor 6, and a trigger circuit 7. A current, which is linearly proportional to the signal frequency of the sensor 3, is supplied to the ammeter, and the linear display can be provided. |
