In a self-sealing door of a coke oven chamber having a chamber frame secured to the oven head (1), frame of which the services on the oven head side define a seal (11) filled with sealant and of which the outer services (13) cooperate with the sealing flanges of the door body, the vertical surfaces (26) on the chamber side and the transverse upper surface of the chamber frame on the chamber side as well as an inner liner (29) which is divided at the circumference into portions which are overlapped like tiles, form a gap (36) filled with cement. It is appropriate to have the portions bearing against the spacers secured to the separation surfaces of the chamber frame. Furthermore, the portions may bear on spaces (34, 35) secured to the separation surfaces of the chamber frame. Further, it is preferable to provide the linings with an angular profile having one side (30) which grips behind the chamber frame, a crossbar (31) covering the chamber frame surfaces on the chamber side and one side (32) joined therewith and alined with the outer surfaces of the chamber frame, which is preferably built as a unitary construction. It is also appropriate to arrange both sides in parallel to each other.
