PURPOSE:To reduce the operation throughput considerbly, by extracting segment having end point in a circle which has the radius set around the coordinate point of a symbol and extracting an objective segment by calculating a distance from the extracted segment and the symbol. CONSTITUTION:A figure read by a figure reading part 1, namely, data of segment position including the symbol position is subjected to coordinate conversion for attaining coordinate data of a symbol P and coordinate data of respective both end points of segments L1, L2, and L3 by an operation processing part 2. The processing part 2 sets a circle of a radius R around the coordinate point of the symbol P. If the longest segment of segments L1, L2, and L3 is known, it is adopted as the longest radius R. If the length of the longest segment is not known, a length of an individual segment is calculated on a basis of respective both end points to calculate respective lengths of all segments, and the longest segment is extracted, and the length of this longest segment is adopted as the radius R. |
