<p>An image forming apparatus includes a rotatable mirror for scanningly deflecting a laser beam modulated in accordance with information to be recorded, a movable photosensitive member to be scanned by the modulated laser beam, an assembly for containing therein the rotatable mirror and the photosensitive member. The assembly includes a first part and a second part supported to the first part rotatably about a pivot.
