PURPOSE:To eliminate the off-track component of the signal recorded previously and to erase the recording blur, etc. simultaneously with recording in order to reduce noises, by providing erasing magnetic heads at both sides to the traveling direction of a magnetic pole which performs record and reproduction. CONSTITUTION:An erasing magnetic head consisting of a magnetic material 5-4, a gap 5-5 and an energizing coil 5-6 is provided at both sides of a record/reproduction magnetic pole 5-1, respectively. The recording is carried out by flowing a signal current to the winding of an auxiliary magnetic pole 5-2 and energizing the pole 5-1. While the reproduction is performed by the winding of the pole 5-2 after energizing the pole 5-1 by magnetization of a recording medium 5-3. When the erasion is carried out by an erasing head, a current flows to the coil 5-6 to turn the magnetization of the medium 5-3 to a single side or to demagnetize the magnetization. In this case, the gap 5-5 eliminate the off-track and the recording blur. Thus the noises are reduced. |
