PURPOSE:To perform recording with high density, by laminating a conductor and a film of high permeability on a ferrite substrate of a recording head via an insulated layer and then shifting a magnetic disk in the prescribed direction. CONSTITUTION:Insulated layers 2 and 4, a conductor 3 and a metallic film 5 of high permeability are laminated on a ferrite substrate 1. This laminated substrate 1 is joined to a slider part 6 to form a recording head. A magnetic disk consisting of a thin alloy film 8 of high permeability and a thin metallic film 9 having a vertical magnetization facilitating axis is shifted on a nonmagnetic substrate 7 from the film 5 toward the substrate 1. In this case, the gap (g) is reduced between the substrate 1 and the main magnetic pole film 5. Therefore the left side of a slope is sudden to the center of the main magnetic pole for the intensity of magnetic field of vertical direction at the tip of the main magnetic pole. Thus, high density for recording is ensured with no effect given from the magnetic field of a conductor coil. |
