PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic reproducer having good frequency characteristics, by setting magnetic materials having different sizes in their thickness directions in a row of the track width direction and at the same time connecting a reproducing circuit to each of magnetic materials. CONSTITUTION:Three magnetic materials 11-13 having different sizes d1, d2 and d3 in the thickness directionof a medium 1 are provided on a track 2 of a magnetic recording medium 1 in a row of the track width direction. In this case, d1>d2>d3 is satisfied, and the magnetic material 11 of the largest size is set at the center position. The reproducing circuit 14-16 are connected to the magnetic materials 11-13 respectively. These circuits 14-16 extract the change of characteristics due to the signal magnetic fields of the materials 11-13 in the form of electric signals. In such a way, the reproduction frequency characteristics viewed from the output side of the reproducing circuit is flat and equal to the general frequency characteristics obtained by synthesizing the frequency characteristics of circuits 14-16. Here the reproduction outputs of circuit 14-16 correspond to the low, medium and high frequency regions respectively. |
