PURPOSE:To keep the surface of a fixing roll free from damage, by moving sepn. pawls in the normal direction of the roll in the stage of opening a conveyance means for paper and moving the same in the tangential direction of the roll after the pawls detach from the roll. CONSTITUTION:A paper ejecting roll 10 is held pressed to a paper ejecting roll 9 by prescribed pressure in an ordinary use state shown in the figure, thereby pressing the slip in the stage of ejecting copying paper. When the roll 10 which is a part of a conveyance means for paper is detached from the roll 9 by turning a pawl mounting plate 6 clockwise around a fulcrum 13 for the purpose of treating a jam or the like, a roll shaft 16 for ejecting the paper is lowered in an arrow A direction along a long hole 6c by the energizing force of an energizing means. A shaft 14 for sepn. pawls is also moved by a connecting plate 17 in an arrow B direction along a long hole 6b. As a result, the front ends of sepn. pawls 5 move in the normal direction of a fixing roll 1 and part from the surface thereof. |
