<p>The disclosure relates to a tool 10 for installing road marker posts in the ground having a shaft 18 with a cutting blade 20 at one end and an impacting sleeve 23 having an impact block 25 and slidable on the other end of the shaft 18 to hit on the shaft 18 and drive the blade into the ground to create a hole for the post. After creation of the hole the tool 10 is inverted and a flanged plate 28 attached to the impacting sleeve 23 is engaged on the upper end of the post. The shaft 18 of the tool is then impacted upon the sleeve 23 downwardly to cause the plate 28 to drive the post into the ground. The shaft 18 carries a grip 32 thereon for holding the tool after inversion. <IMAGE></p> |
