A branching pipe joint is made by a first tube 1 being bended for forming a first trunk part 2 and a branch part 3, following which a pointed drift 6 is guided inwards through the outer wall of the bended part 5, possibly after drilling a hole 4, and into the first trunk part 2. After removal of the drift 6, a second trunk part 13 is inserted in the enlarged and re-orientated hole 4a, said second trunk part having an end portion 14 fitting into the first trunk part 2. Thus is obtained a pipe joint which is simple to manufacture and the strength of which is better than the strength of existing tee joints, where the point of departure is a straight tube as the trunk and the branch piece is placed onto its side. The pipe joint is useful for hand utensils not shown, e.g. snow scrapers with more than one handle on the stick, said stick comprising the first 2 and the second 13 trunk part, while the handle, placed at distances from the ends of the stick, is fastened onto or is constituted by the branch piece 3. The angular position of the handle around the longitudinal axis of the stick may be adjusted by turning the end part 14 in the first trunk part 2 and possibly locking is by soldering or gluing the two parts together. <IMAGE>
