<p>PURPOSE:To improve the external view of a car body in which all circumferences of a side door provided with the outer plate made of synthetic resin touches the door opening section by vertically directing a gap that appears on the outer surface of a car body between the upper and lower edges of the door outer plate and the door opening section. CONSTITUTION:In a compact car in which the main components of a car body are made of synthetic resin, weather strips 50 and 52 are bonded on the upper and lower surfaces of a roof side rail 22 along the longitudinal direction of the car body and the left and right edges of a roof 24 are made to watertightly touch the upper weatherstrip 50. In addition, the frame section 56 of a side door 46 is made to touch the lower weatherstrip 52 and a gap (A) formed between the upper edge of the door 46 and the edge of the roof 24 is directed upward. Furthermore, the lower part of the door opening section of the car body is formed into almost a square open section that is opened downward and the inner plate 44 of the side door 46 is made to touch the weatherstrip 52 that is bonded on the section and then a gap (C) formed between the lower edge of the door 46 and the opening section of the door is directed downward.</p> |
