PURPOSE:To promote the accuracy of rear confirmation, by providing an image- taking unit on the rear of an automobile, installing a projector in front of the driver's seat and connecting the image-taking unit to the projector through an optical fiber so that the view behind the automobile can be confirmed at the driver's seat. CONSTITUTION:An image-taking unit 1 including a condensing lens 2 on the front of a frame is provided on the rear of an automobile 9 so that the angle of mounting of the unit 1 can be altered. A projector 3 including a screen 4 on the front of a frame and a projecting lens 5 behind the screen is provided in front of the driver's seat in the automobile 9. The image-taking unit 1 and the projector 3 are connected to each other through an optical fiber 6. A viewing direction changer 7 is provided on the body of the vehicle 9 and coupled to the image-taking unit 1. A manipulator 8 for the viewing direction changer 7 is provided in front of the driver's seat. The view behind the automobile 9 is transmitted by light from the image-taking unit 1 to the projector 3 through the optical fiber 6. As a result, the view behind the vehicle can easily and securely be confirmed at the driver's seat. |
