PURPOSE:To prevent the temp. drop during treatment and to remove easily impurities in a large amt. of molten metal in a short time by mounting two ladles to a rotary ring, and dropping the molten metal alternately in a heating atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Rotary rings 4 are placed on a pair of driving rolls 3 disposed in a vacuum vessel 2, and ladle receiving bases 6, 6' provided with heat-proof covers 5 in the opposed positions of the ring 4 are pivotally supported. Ladles 8, 8' are placed on the bases 6, 6', and molten metal is filled in the upper ladle 8; at the same time, a cylinder 14 for preventing temp. drop is preheated by a heater 13. When the nozzle of the ladle 8 is opened, the molten metal enters the lower ladle 8' by passing through the hole 12 of the cover 5 and the cylinder 14. The ring 4 is then rotated 180 deg. to alternate the positions of the ladles 8, 8' and the molten metal is dropped by the similar operation. Volatile impurities and gas are efficiently removed during the dropping of the molten metal. |
