PURPOSE:To widely adjust the DC output voltage obtained from the secondary coil of a transformer by providing a plurality of taps at tertiary coil of the transformer and switching the taps. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular wave is generated by the ON and OFF operations of a transistor Q at the respective coils of a transformer T. When the transistor Q is ON, the voltage which is generated at the secondary coil n2 of the transformer T is rectified by rectifiers D1, D2 and smoothed, and a DC output voltage is supplied to a load RL. This DC output voltage is controlled by switching the taps A-C of the reset coil n3 of the transformer T. The counterelectromotive force which is generated at the reset coil n3 is clamped via a rectifier D3 to the DC output voltage, thereby resetting the excitation of the transformer T. A control circuit CONT controls the transistor Q by the voltage which is generated at the coil n4 at the resetting time. |
