<p>PURPOSE:To correct a roll gap without attaching a hysteresis-generating device to a rolling mill, by discriminating the increasing and decreasing directions of the roll gap, and obtaining a correcting amount from the changed amount of the roll gap after reversely turn the gap, in compensating the deviation of the sheet thickness caused by a hysteresis of the mill. CONSTITUTION:A rolling material 6 is rolled, while adjusting a roll gap of work rolls 5 and back up rolls 4 by moving a ram 3 housed in a rolling reduction cylinder 2. The position SM of the ram 3 is measured by a measuring instrument 7 to reversely feedback its result to a sheet-thickness command Ho, and on the other hand, a rolling load FM is measured by an instrument 8 to rversely feedback the result, obtained by dividing said measured result by a mill constant with the aid of a counter 9, to an adder, thereby controlling the roll gap so that the equations are held, then the sheet thickness is kept constant. Here, a load correcting value F' is added from a computor 13 to the FM to be inputted to an adder 113, placed between the instruments 8, 9, to impress the result of the adder 113 onto the measuring instrument 9. The computor 13 reads the FM, SM at the fixed time intervals to detect the increasing and decreasing directions of the roll gap, thereby calculating a correcting hysteresis amount (F') basing on the FM, SM obtained at the time of the reverse turn, which are put as the reference points, to output the results to the adder 113.</p> |
