CAST TIRE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING

The tire inner layer is formed in a rigid annular mold with a thickness less than that of the tire and with two beads positioned therein. A liq. reaction mixt. of elastomer forming material is injected which cures to contain the beads and has dimensional stability. The tread is formed by placing the inner layer in an annular mold introducing a quantity of the reaction mixt. and opt. rotating the mold so that the elastomer forming mixt. flows to the outer, tread portion. The side walls are formed by injecting the liq. elastomer into the annular mold to fill the space between the inner layer and the side walls.
