PURPOSE:To attract toner floating near a reflector to a conductive member and to prevent its scattering, by arranging the conductive member and an insulating member in one body where the reflector exerts no influence upon light condensing to an original surface, and applying a voltage to the conductive member. CONSTITUTION:When toner 16 is negatively charged electrostatically, the conductive member 12 is charged positively by a high-voltage power source 14 and toner 16 which is charged negatively and floats near the 1st and the 2nd reflectors 22 and 23 is attracted to the conductive member 12 by Coulomb force. The conductive member 12, on the other hand, is only disposed at the bottom part of the recessed part 13a of the insulating member 13, so the toner 16 attracted once stays in the recessed part 13a, i.e. on the top surface of the conductive member 12 even when no voltage is applied to the conductive member 12 and never moves toward the 1st and the 2nd reflectors 22 and 32. Therefore, it is not necessary to apply the voltage to the conductive member 12 at all times, and the application is required only for an adequate specific time in and after a copying cycle. |
