摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce valve noise by overlifting the valve at the time of valve lift, eliminating this at the time of seating gradually and thereby providing mild seating. CONSTITUTION:Hydraulic cylinders 15, 16 are formed at the portion of locker arm 12 facing the cam 13 and at the portion of the same facing the valve stem 14, and plungers 17, 18 are fitted in these cylinders 17, 18. The cylinders 15, 16 are in communication with each other, and thereto the oil is fed through a check valve 21. Because the pressure receiving area ratio of these plunger is set at a value larger than the locker ratio, the lift amount specified by the lift curve for the cam 13 is exceeded, and even when the cam lift has become zero, the valve will not seat entirely, whereafter the lubricating oil is gradually compressed by the pushing force of the valve spring so as to permit seating just when the overlift is eliminated.
