PURPOSE:To deal with not only the light and shade of an object to be photographed, but also a difference in hue by dividing the spectral sensitivity characteristics of a photoelectric transducer into plural wavelength ranges, and perforing arithmetic processing for focus detection of each of sensors corresponding to the wavelength ranges and making a focusing decision. CONSTITUTION:Sensors 1, 2, and 3, projection lenses 5 and 6, and mirrors 7, 8, 9, and 10 are provided for an image coincidence system; the projection lenses 5 and 6 are each divided into two and their centers of curvatures are shifted slightly in the split line direction to form two equal images on a focal plane in the upward and downward direction. This constitution provides a focus detection system with correlation systems, i.e. one group of the same-side split part of the sensors 1 and 3 and photographic lenses 5 and 6 and mirror systems 7-10 and the other groups of the other-side part of the sensor 2 and 4 and photographic lenses 5 and 6 and mirror systems 7-10. In this case, color filters having different characteristics are provided for the sensors 1 and 3, and 2 and 4 and in another way, deviated spectral sensitivity characteristics are given to the sensors themselves. Thus, even variation in hue is dealt with by focus detection outputs of those two correlation systems having the different color sensitivity characteristics. |
