RECEIVING CHUTE FOR TOP CHARGER OF BELL-LESS FURNACE

PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a titled device and to prevent the leakage of dust into air by providing two dampers in the intermediate parts of one raw material feed port and two discharge ports respectively in the upper and lower parts of a stationary casing and providing a curtain between a socket and the casing. CONSTITUTION:A raw material is dropped into an upper casing 21 and is introduced through the opening C thereof into a lower casing 22. Dampers 25, 26 which open and close the passages connecting the opening A or B communicating with sockets 5a, 5b and the opening C are provided freely turnably in the casing 22. Therefore if both dampers are so turned that the forward ends of the dampers abut to a closs bar 27 and that both dampers are not simultaneously opened, the raw material introduced into the casing 22 is charged only into one of the sockets 5a, 5b. The dust generated in the casing 22 in this stage tries to leak to the outside from the part in proximity to the socket in the lower part of the casting 22 but is prevented by the rubber curtain 38 in the outside circumferential part in that part.
